The Lincoln Speakeasy: A 1920s Experience With Modern Drinks

The Lincoln Speakeasy: A 1920s Experience With Modern Drinks

by | Jan 24, 2025

The Lincoln Speakeasy sits at 436 Lincoln Boulevard in Lincoln, California, bringing the 1920s to life without the pesky need for secret passwords or lookouts. This joint serves up more than just drinks – it’s got style, sass, and a 30-foot bar that would make any Prohibition-era gangster jealous.

Booze Without the Blues

The drink menu reads like a time machine in liquid form. For $14, you can sip on classics like the White Linen (gin, St. Germain, lemon, simple syrup, and soda water) or the Manhattan (bitters, luxardo cherries, and sweet vermouth). If you’re feeling fancy, try the Mary Pickford – a tropical twist with rum, grenadine, and pineapple juice. They even make their own rum here, so you know it’s the real deal.

Grub That’s Actually Good

Unlike the sketchy speakeasies of old, this place serves food you’ll actually want to eat. The menu includes:

The Mobster ($23.99) – A beast of a burger topped with pastrami, swiss cheese, and provolone cheese
Bootlegger Burger ($18.99) – Loaded with BBQ sauce, onion rings, and bacon
Speakeasy Ruben ($18.99) – Pastrami piled sky-high with Swiss cheese and house dressingFor lighter fare, there’s the Veggie Spring Rolls ($8.99) or the Goat Cheese plate ($11.99) with candied bacon and dates.

Hooch on Tap

Beer snobs, rejoice! The tap list features 20 rotating craft beers, from local brews to nationally known names. Standouts include:

Space Dust IPA – A hefty 8.2% ABV brew with grapefruit and mango notes
Mighty Dry Cider – Made with 100% fresh-pressed West Coast apples
Breaking Bud IPA – A tropical fruit bomb with just the right bite

When to Sneak In

There is no need to know a secret knock – just show up during these hours:

  • Wednesday & Thursday: 4 PM – 12 AM
  • Friday & Saturday: Noon – 1 AM
  • Sunday: Noon – 10 PM
  • Monday & Tuesday: Closed (even bootleggers need a break)

The Setup

The place sports a craft distillery, an impressive 30-foot bar, and enough room to spread out and enjoy yourself. They’ve got pool tables for sharks and minnows alike, live music to keep things lively, and an atmosphere that says “stay awhile” without trying too hard.

The Extras

Beyond the regular menu, they’re always cooking up something new. Recent additions include Funnel Cake Fries ($8.99) topped with roasted maple glazed apples and whipped cream and Pastrami Fries ($17.99) loaded with Swiss cheese and jalapeños.

The Spirits Program

Their house-made spirits program focuses on brandy and rum. There is no bathtub gin here – everything’s properly distilled and aged. You can try their house-distilled rum in the Mary Pickford cocktail or sample their brandy in the Side Car.

The Fine Print

You’ll find them at:
436 Lincoln Boulevard
Lincoln, CA 95648
Phone: +1 916 409 5122

Prices range from $9 for cocktails to $23.99 for the bigger plates. Beer flights go for $9; if you’re feeling generous, pitchers are available for $29. They’ve got everything from quick bites to full meals and drinks from simple to sophisticated.
